Francesca Citter

Change is not measured in extraordinary moments. It is measured in what the body can live every day.

A practice can make you feel strong, free or present for an hour.

What matters is what remains when life starts again.

That is where you find out whether something really changed.

THE WORK SO FAR

Every practice is a doorway to something already inside us.

Through movement, meditation, breath, transformational breathwork and inversions, Francesca guides people to slow down, return to the body and recognise what is already guiding their experience.

Whatever the entry point, the work is the same: learning to listen to the body and make it more able to support the life we choose.

ON THE MAT

These responses become visible.

IN THE PRACTICE

We can try something different.

IN LIFE

We find out what has actually become available.

Change shows itself when life starts again.

THE BEGINNING OF A BIGGER STORY

Before she looked for who she was, she knew exactly what she wanted.

Portrait of Francesca in the studio during her own practice
  1. CHILDHOOD

As a child they called her Francesca Manesca, or Pralina dell’Amore. It depended on the day.

She was fire: intense, stubborn, affectionate. No doubt about what she wanted.

  2. AGE FOUR AND A HALF

Then, at four and a half, her parents separated.

She did not have the words to understand it. She had a body that felt it anyway.

Artistic gymnastics became the first place where all that energy could go somewhere.

  3. THE BODY

Anger became movement. Pain became strength.

Before she could understand it, the body was teaching her that what we feel can be transformed through what we do.

  4. 2011 · AGE 19

    At nineteen, life changed again.

In 2011, two months before the end of school, her brother Gio died suddenly.

She finished her exams. Then she decided to leave for London.

“I am tired of being ‘Gio’s sister’ to everyone I know. I want to understand who I am.”

Before leaving, she said these words to her father.

She did not want to leave her brother behind. She wanted to meet herself outside the story everyone knew her through.

She left without an answer.

What she could not know then is that this question, who is she when the life she knew no longer exists?, would guide all of her work.

THE SEARCH

She looked for the answer by changing her life.

Francesca in London, during the years that shaped her search

Every new direction let her meet a part of herself that had not had space before.

But changing place does not automatically change the way one lives.

  • One can build a new life and carry the same fears with them.

  • One can get the freedom they wanted and keep reacting the way they did without it.

  • One can know what they want and still not feel able to hold it.

“Which life do I want?”

“What has to become available inside me for me to live it?”

THE VOID

Maybe you are not losing yourself. Maybe you are expanding.

Francesca’s search eventually led her to a different understanding of change:

“When who I was no longer represented me, and who I was becoming had not yet taken shape, my instinct was to fill the space.”

With a plan. An answer. A new goal. A more defined version of myself.

I thought it was clarity. Often it was control.

That void does not always need filling. It can become a space for listening.

A space to observe what gives us energy, what we keep returning to, and what we can let go of instead.

We do not always find the answer. Sometimes we free enough space for it to emerge.

For a long time I thought growing meant finding the right version of me.

Today I believe it means becoming wide enough to hold more parts of me.

What had brought me that far did not have to disappear. It could become part of something larger.

Not a new identity. A wider container.

WHY THIS WORK CONTINUES

I create the spaces I would have wanted to find while I was changing.

01

Spaces to return to the present before making another decision.

02

Where you learn to listen to yourself without handing someone else authority over your own experience.

03

Where you recognise your own maps and train strength, trust, courage, flexibility and new ways of responding and being.

My role is not to tell you who to become.

It is to create the conditions for you to see more clearly what guides you, try something different, and trust what you recognise.

The work is working when you need me less and less, and have more and more access to yourself.

IN THEIR WORDS

What changes in the practice continues in life.

Rated 4.8/5 on Trustpilot

I had always been someone who never finished what she started. I tried a thousand paths without ever finding my way. Since I discovered Marea Yoga Studio, I've changed drastically from within… Today yoga and personal growth are part of my everyday life.
